Events – Business-Marathon 2013

A press conference was held in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic of Armenia (st.Khanjyan 11,2nd floor, Yerevan) on 18 September of 2013 year which was devoted to the development of economical relationship between Moscow and Yerevan . The event was held within the framework of the project opening ceremony named “Business Marathon 2013 . Business mission of Moscow small and medium enterprises in Yerevan ”.
Project was implemented on the initiative of Department of science , industrial policy and enterprise of the Moscow Government.
In 2013, the ”Business Marathon’2013” was held in 50 cities.
The objective of the project was- to assist in establishing of a direct mutually beneficial production and trade cooperation between enterprises of the two regions. The project’s technology is quite different from exhibitions and other similar events, first of all, by thorough preliminary study of bilateral contacts, which was held during 2 months of preparation for the direct arrival of the Project participants to Yerevan.
Initially 15 enterprises were involved in the project from Moscow . Through preliminary elaboration’s results 10 industrial enterprises, which caused the greatest interest on the part of Yerevan companies , were selected for the composition of the business mission abroad. So, representatives of 10 companies arrived in the business mission in Yerevan, which were employed in manufacturing of construction, paint-and-lacquer and decoration materials, equipment and components for industry, furniture and components for furniture production, medical equipment and medical supplies, pest control products, women’s clothing, electronic document management systems and process automation systems, etc.
On 18 September of 2013 ,after completion of the official opening ceremony and press conference the negotiating platform for SMEs of the city of Moscow and the city of Yerevan took place at Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Republic od Armenia , within this framework more than 80 bilateral meetings of businessmen of two regions were organized . Round table discussions were also held for the participants of the business mission with experts in field of logistics, certification, patenting, banking and credit sectors
On 19 September of 2013 entrepreneurs visited Armenian companies offices in Yerevan to rate industrial and commercial opportunities and to discuss collaboration details .Also, visits were organised to business and specialized associations of Yerevan (a presentation tour), and visits to industrial enterprises of the region (technological tour) in order to exchange experience, production cooperation, etc.
Within the framework of opening ceremony of Business Mission abroad a press conference was held, which was dedicated to the development of economical interrelation between Moscow and Yerevan .During this Ceremony as speakers were;

• Knyazev Dmitri Аleksandr – Deputy Head of the Department of Science, Industrial Policy and Entrepreneurship of the city of Moscow;
• Martirosyan Karen Ervand- Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Yerevan
• Karen Gevorgyan- Deputy Director of the Armenian National Center for the Development of Small and Medium Enterprises
• Shabelnikov Sergey Valeri- Chief Executive Officer of “Bureau of Applied Marketing” LLC (organizer).
